Job Description Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Mt Laurel, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting expertise and at least three years of experience managing invoices, performing reconciliations, and handling various accounting tasks. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting corporate tax and general ledger operations. Responsibilities: • Process and manage invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments. • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently. • Prepare and review corporate tax returns and sales tax filings. • Record journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger. • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements. • Conduct thorough analysis to identify and address accounting issues. • Collaborate with team members on special accounting projects. • Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and accounting standards. • Provide support in month-end and year-end closing processes.• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. • Proficiency in processing invoices and performing bank reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of corporate and sales tax regulations. • Experience with preparing corporate tax returns and managing journal entries. • Solid understanding of general ledger operations. • Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work effectively on a contract basis and meet deadlines.
