About the r ole: CHANEL is looking for a Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join the CHANEL US Sustainability Team in Piscataway, New Jersey. Our ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience , a passion for supporting e nvironmental and s ocial change , and a strong track record of collecting, analyzing, and reporting sustainability data . What impact you can create at CHANEL: L ead the annual Net Zero S ustainability Reporting development and execution, including defining data collection strategy and project management from start to finishManage data collection related to Carbon Reporting and GHG emission protocols and perform analysis and verification in partnership with G lobal S ustainability counterparts and US Sustainability leadershipSteer collaborative, cross-functional initiatives to increase data quality related to emissions and social sustainabilityPartner with key internal functions ( eg , Finance , Legal and Business Divisions ) to lead and support report assurance and compliance related activitiesDevelop annual continuous improvement plans to enhance year over year US S ustainability program performance, data integrity, reporting and transparency You are energized by: Partnerships: Building Team Collaboration across Function s and RegionsThought Leadership: Sharing your knowledge and leading through education to drive organizational changeComplexity: Navigating the unknown while supporting consistent transformation and changeExecution: Getting things done and realizing your goals What you will bring to the team: Passion for sustainability , commitment to driving positive environmental and social change , and a n interest in working in the luxury retail industryExpertise in GHG Protocol, TCFD , carbon accounting , environmental management, and operational sustainability software systemsKnowledge of corporate reporting requirements such as CSRD and California legislation SB 253 and SB 261Proficiency in data analysis and related tools / software for Sustainability data management and reporting . Excel skills required , PowerBI proficiency preferred.Analytical skills to collect, interpret, and present Environmental & Social Sustainability data and metrics effectively (strong skills in PowerPoint preferred)Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data setsCollaborative spirit and ability to lead data collection, analysis and verification in partnership with cross-functional team sAbility to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlinesE xcellent communication skills and the ability to work well with stakeholders at all levels Position Logistics: Experience: 2 + Years of Sustainability Reporting experience , or a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science , Sustainability, or a related field with Master's degree preferredHybrid Schedule: Minimum of 3 days a week in the Piscataway, NJ officeFlexibility to work from New York, NY office location as required Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $58,200 through $95,000 . Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position.
