Job Description:
Position Overview: Licensed Architect; coordinates all design
efforts in order to ensure effective vision, documentation, and
quality assurance for projects of moderate size and complexity. May
serve as secondary point of client contact. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: • Responsible for coordination of all design
efforts, both internally and with consultants. • Responsible for
organizing the format and content of drawings required at each job
phase, and assigning tasks to the job team. • Directs and manages
the in-house design team; must be able to motivate a sense of
collaboration among the project team. • With the project manager,
coordinate review of the project schedule and budget on a regular
basis. • Provides oversight of the writing of specifications and
ensures that the specifications and design documents are
coordinated. • Working with the principal in charge and project
manager, responsible for advancing design components, including
scheduling design reviews. • Ensures that details reflect the
overall design intent of the project. • As needed, assist the
Director of Marketing and Business Development, or Principal in
Charge with marketing related activities around the project,
including development of proposals. • Responsible for office
administrative tasks such as project staffing, hiring and manpower,
quality assurance, office technology including the organization of
technical resources, references, and templates, and organization of
technical training for staff. Required Qualifications and Skills: •
Professional Architectural Degree • Registration as an Architect or
Interior Designer. • Professional Certification (such as LEED AP,
CSI, etc). • Ability to perform work as required, competence in the
area of work, willingness to perform well in many aspects of
practice, and reliability. Work Authorization: Must be eligible to
