Job Description Job Description Description: GENERAL SUMMARY OF
THE POSITION: The Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator leads the
instructional vision for Xiente’s Early Learning programs (0–5),
ensuring every classroom provides children with the skills,
language experiences, and learning opportunities essential for
school readiness and future success. Through strong curriculum
leadership, data-informed decision-making, and targeted
professional development, this role strengthens educational
outcomes that directly support Xiente’s mission of advancing
economic mobility. By elevating the quality of our early learning
system, the Coordinator helps build a strong foundation that
empowers children and families to progress from poverty to
prosperity. 1. Instructional Leadership: a. Supervise and provide
guidance to instructional coaches across all Early Learning Unit
sites. b. Participate in the Hiring and onboarding of coaches and
teachers. c. Support the onboarding and supervision of coaches.
(Instructional, Special Needs, Behavioral). d. Support partnerships
with Early Intervention and behavioral health organizations such as
but not limited to Elwyn, ChildLink, HUNE CBH, CCTC. e. Implement
instructional strategies and practices to ensure that 80% of
children meet school readiness goals according to Learning Without
Tears Assessments and Teaching Strategies Gold f. Design and
support academic programming for Dual Language Immersion
programs.(Spanish and English) 2. Curriculum Development: a.
Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum that
aligns with educational standards and program goals. b. Ensure the
curriculum supports dual language learners and incorporates best
practices in early childhood education. c. Supports teachers in
implementing emergent and responsive curricula 3. Data Analysis and
Reporting: a. Analyze student outcome data to measure progress
towards school readiness goals. b. Create and present educational
reports based on data analysis to inform instructional practices
and program improvements. c. Use data to identify trends, areas for
improvement, and opportunities for enhancing educational outcomes.
4. Professional Development: a. Develop and deliver professional
development programs for coaches, teaching staff, and site
directors (as needed). b. Ensure staff are trained in effective
instructional strategies, curriculum implementation, and
data-driven decision-making. c. Provide ongoing support and
feedback to coaches and teachers to enhance their effectiveness. d.
Stay informed about current research and trends in early childhood
education and share relevant insights with coaches and teaching
staff e. Support teaching staff in completing ongoing education and
professional development to ensure continuous quality improvement
and compliance with programmatic requirements. 5. Grant Writing and
Compliance: a. Assist with grant writing and reporting to secure
funding for educational programs and initiatives. b. Participate in
program audits, ensuring compliance with all educational standards
and requirements. c. Assist with the preparation and implementation
of corrective action plans as needed. 6. Family and Community
Engagement: a. Collaborate with families and community partners to
support children's educational outcomes. b. Ensure that curriculum
and instructional practices reflect the needs and values of the
community. c. Promote family involvement in educational activities
and events. 7. Program Management: a. Support the Operations
Manager and Xiente leadership in strategic planning and program
development. b. Ensure consistency and fidelity in curriculum
implementation across all sites. c. Develop and implement systems
for monitoring and evaluating instructional practices. 8.
Collaboration and Communication: a. Work closely with other program
directors and administrative staff to ensure cohesive program
delivery. b. Maintain clear and consistent communication with
coaches, teaching staff, and families. c. Facilitate regular
meetings to discuss instructional strategies, student progress, and
program improvements. 9. Perform other duties as assigned by the
Operations Manager Requirements: ? Bachelor's Degree or
graduate-level work that includes coursework equivalent to a major
in Early Childhood Education, Education, Curriculum, or closely
related field. (Official transcripts required to validate
educational credentials.) Masters Preferred ? Minimum of 5 years'
experience in Early Childhood, with at least 2 years in a
leadership or supervisory role. ? PQAS and CLASS certified, or
willing to complete. ? Strong Knowledge of early childhood
curriculum development, instructional strategies, and dual language
immersion programs. ? Experience with data analysis and using data
to inform instructional practices. ? Excellent communication,
leadership, and organizational skills. ? Ability to work
collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners. ?
Commitment to promoting educational equity and excellence for all
children. ? Strong written and verbal communication skills. ?
Demonstrated ability to implement the use of appropriate curricula
and instructional materials to enhance teaching and learning. ?
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, internet, and e-mail. ?
Ability to secure clearance for PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal
History, FBI, and National Sex Offenders Clearance (required). ?
Possess or ability to secure a Driver’s License and insurance
(preferred). ? Ability to secure health clearances every two years
and TB once (required). ? Proficiency in Excel, Power Point,
Microsoft Office, Salesforce. ? Bilingual Spanish/English
preferred.
