Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is
available for the remainder of the school year at a middle school
serving behavioral students within an AIM program. This role
focuses on providing tailored support through both push-in and
pull-out services, helping middle school students achieve their
educational goals in a supportive environment. Key responsibilities
include: Delivering specialized instruction and support to
behavioral students in a middle school AIM program Collaborating
with general education teachers and support staff to implement
individualized education plans (IEPs) Using both push-in and
pull-out instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records in
compliance with state and district guidelines Fostering a positive
and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and
personal growth Qualifications and experience desired: Valid
Connecticut Special Education teaching certification (CT SPED)
required Experience working with middle school aged students,
particularly those with behavioral challenges Strong knowledge of
behavior interventions and special education best practices Ability
to work effectively in a fast-paced school environment and
collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Commitment to helping
students develop academic skills and social-emotional competencies
Location and schedule details: Position based in New Milford,
Connecticut Full-time hours, Monday through Friday from 7:25 a.m.
to 2:40 p.m. One school assignment within a middle school AIM
program Contract term runs from ASAP through the end of the current
school year (CSY) This role offers the opportunity to make a
meaningful impact on students with behavioral needs, providing
support that promotes both academic and personal success.
Candidates holding the required Connecticut Special Education
license are encouraged to apply promptly to be considered for this
valuable contract role. Compensation for this position ranges from
$25.50 to $55.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare
