Engineering Manager – Direct Hire Amityville, NY Salary: $110,000–$125,000 (DOE) We’re hiring on behalf of our client—a leading, well-established manufacturer of fixtures, millwork, and casework. They are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead their Design Engineering team in a full-time, on-site role. About the Role: This is a hands-on position where you'll actively support and guide the engineering team in the development and maintenance of parametric 3D models, approval and production drawings, CAM programs, and documentation to support manufacturing and product design. You will be directly involved in problem-solving and process improvement, playing a critical role in day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor the Design Engineering team, promoting continuous improvement and skills development. Actively participate in and oversee the creation of CAD models, drawings, and CAM programs. Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and best practices. Oversee engineering change orders and document revisions. Monitor and improve engineering KPIs. Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing, product management, and cross-functional teams. Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Qualifications: Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling; SolidWorks PDM experience required. SolidWorks certification strongly preferred. Experience with SWOOD is a strong plus. Background in fixtures, woodworking, millwork, or sheet/tube metal design is a plus. Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Engineering degree preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical drafting standards and GD&T. Excellent technical writing and communication skills. Experience with iLogic, Visual Basic, C++, or C# is a plus. Proven leadership and mentoring experience in an engineering environment.
