Job Description:
Operations Engineer (Giorgio Fresh Co., Blandon, PA):
Troubleshooting and devising engineering solutions for electrical
and mechanical problems to industrial manufacturing equipment with
highly complicated manufacturing components in order to help
maintain operations with little to no disruption in productive
output; Installing, testing, and maintaining production systems for
large-scale machine tools that perform aluminum container component
fabrication; Documenting equipment in an electronic log system in
order to provide clear and concise records for company-wide use and
knowledge; Performing regular functional & performance tests on
equipment on a daily/monthly basis and suggesting modifications in
order to increase the productive lifespan of existing inventory
while lowering production costs when needed; Operating a variety of
mechatronic testing equipment used in locating and determining
system malfunctions; Maintaining the upkeep, repairing, and
replacing of motors and manufacturing systems or units as needed to
ensure the efficiency of industrial processes; Assisting in the
calibration and setup of vision inspection systems, light and leak
testers, and other testing devices that directly affect quality and
reliability of products in order to maintain or increase
bottom-line production values; Ensuring and managing as needed all
plant operational fire alarms & emergency production systems in
order to maintain the safety and integrity factors of each section
of the Company's plant operations; Conducting routine inspections
and reporting and repairing any risks or dangers observed in order
to maintain the safety and integrity factors of each section of the
Company's plant operations; Conducting routine inspections,
upgrading modifications where and when needed, and installing
improved industrial automation equipment where it will benefit
bottom-line production values. Must have experience with the
following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks:
Experience reading and understanding pneumatic and electrical
schematics; Experience working with conveyor belts; Knowledge of
vacuum systems and schematics; Experience using dial indicators,
measurement devices; and Experience with Mechatronics. Requires one
year of experience as a Maintenance Engineer or related occupation.
