The HVAC Installer is responsible for installing new HVAC units and systems in new construction modular buildings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned) Installs new HVAC units in new construction for modular multi-family homes. Installs ductwork and thermostats to control the HVAC system. Installs various types of HVAC systems such as PTAC, heat pumps,ERV Complies withcompany and industry safety standards. Performs other related duties as assigned. Comply withcompany and industry safety standards. Other duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered) Education Vocational/High school diploma or GED, HVAC certification preferred. Experience Minimum 1 year working directly with HVAC systems. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment preferred. Mechanically inclined. Dependable and punctual. Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints is desired. Ability to use power and hand tools. Excellent mechanical skills. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: typically required to perform the essential functions of this position. Problem-Solving/Decision-Making Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as problem-solving skills. Dependable and punctual. Ability to learn, retain knowledge, and follow instructions. Ability to work independently and with a work crew. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required. Tools & Equipment (Other than general office equipment): Proficient knowledge of tooling & fixturing and their intended use, tool accountability PHYSICAL DEMANDS: typically required to perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 75lbs regularly. Ability to climb stairs and ramps, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, lift, grasp, speak, hear, and see objects. Ability to respond quickly to sounds; ability to see and respond to dangerous situations. Ability to work safely in confined spaces. Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time. Excellent hand-eye coordination. WORKING CONDITIONS under which the essential functions of this position are typically performed. Onsite work at Berwick facility. Occasional overtime may berequested. Frequent exposure to manufacturing plant environment. Occasional exposure to general office setting.
