SUMMARY: The Maintenance Manager will report to the Plant Manager and is responsible for ensuring that all of the equipment in Spice Chain s facilities is in good working order and operating properly. They will oversee the installation, repair, and upkeep of machines, mechanical systems, buildings, and other structures. The maintenance supervisor is responsible for the execution of the Company s preventive maintenance program and the administration and use of the CMMS (computerized Maintenance Management System). They are responsible for developing and maintaining the maintenance departmental budget. They will oversee the maintenance department, prioritize requests, delegate tasks to subordinates, communicate with vendors, maintain parts inventory, maintenance task spreadsheet, and maintenance budget.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop comprehensive solutions to improve the total performance of multiple plantsDevelop maintenance department schedules to ensure proper maintenance coverage during plant operationsDevelop and maintain an annual maintenance departmental budget, including, but not limited to; labor, capital expenditures, maintenance expenses and spare parts inventory, as well as, 3rd party contractual agreementsManage engineering operational responsibilities supporting all of manufacturing including but not limited to designing, installing, and validating new equipment/processes, improving the performance of existing processes, and existing equipment setupSpearhead engineering activities related to new capital expenditures including but not limited to, managing vendor timelines and objectives, meeting financial plans, and improving optimization.Ensure a safe, clean and organized maintenance shop.Ensure and accurate spare parts inventory, working within the companies fiscal goalsEnsure new equipment brought into the facilities meet standards for Associate Safety, Food Safety Quality, and ProductivityDelegate emergency repairs and assist team as required.Oversee all inventory requirements for spare parts, PMs, training, cleaning and documentation.Manage relationships and coordinate activities with key external stakeholders including but not limited to equipment vendors, general contractors and engineering firmsManage the maintenance department at each facility to improve overall performance of the facility improving the design and process controls of key plant systems, production lines, utility management and warehousingAdvance the departmental culture (values and behaviors) in alignment with corporate objectives -- understand and execute to the principles of Spice Chain s core values.Implement cross functional training within department to foster a well-rounded maintenance department.Collaborate with respective stakeholders on all fixed asset purchases and support management requirements.Collaborate with quality control to support all SQF and audit requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 5-10 years relevant experience in food and beverage process engineering or Bachelor s degree in EngineeringDemonstrable analysis and design skills; mechanical and electrical systems, pneumatics, plumbing, HVAC, solids handling, and construction.Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment including but not limited to; motors, pulleys, feed screws, sifters, etc.Very comfortable with engineering schematics and blueprintsBasic business and financial acumenStrong leadership and supervisory experienceSkilled in Microsoft Office and experience managing maintenance departments utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Strong communication skillsWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse work force at all levels of the business thereby creating a culture that allows us to better serve our customers, our employees and our communities.
