*Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Shelter - $70k-$85k annual salary! *We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our clients team and provide behavioral health services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) residing in a shelter setting. This position plays a critical role in delivering trauma-informed, person-centered care aimed at stabilizing mental health symptoms, promoting recovery, and helping clients transition to permanent housing.The LMSW will conduct clinical assessments, provide therapeutic support, and coordinate care for a complex and high-need population often experiencing co-occurring disorders, homelessness, and limited support systems.*Key Responsibilities:** Provide ongoing clinical support, case management, and crisis intervention to shelter residents with SPMI.* Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized service plans.* Deliver individual counseling and facilitate psychoeducational or therapeutic groups focused on symptom management, coping skills, and life stabilization.* Collaborate with shelter staff, psychiatric providers, medical professionals, and community agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.* Support clients with navigating housing processes, entitlements, and referrals to appropriate long-term services.* Assist with psychiatric medication adherence and monitor mental status changes, escalating concerns as needed.* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency, city, and state requirements.* Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, clinical supervision, and team meetings.* Promote a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused environment within the shelter.*Qualifications:** Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in good standing in the state of employment.* Demonstrated experience working with individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness in shelter, residential, or community settings.* Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and de-escalation techniques.* Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.* Proficiency in clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.* Commitment to social justice, client advocacy, and culturally responsive care.* Experience working in homeless services, inpatient psychiatric settings, or community mental health programs.___Atlas Search is a tri-state area recruitment agency, connecting new graduates, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians and Nurse Leaders to hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty groups, nursing homes, managed care companies, private practices, and healthcare start-ups.__If you would like to learn more about the opportunities we offer, please submit your CV for consideration here._#IndeedHCJob Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per yearSchedule:* Day shiftApplication Question(s):* What is the best phone number and email address to reach you?Experience:* Shelter: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* NYS LMSW License (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Staten Island, NY 10304 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Staten Island, NY 10304: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
