Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: New York City, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,254 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Acute Care Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year Required License: NYS DOH License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Responsible for patient care in an acute inpatient setting. - Experience with telemetry monitoring and management of dysrhythmias. - Ability to float as needed to care for admitted patients. - Proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy, including central and peripheral line care. - Knowledgeable in respiratory management and isolation precautions. - Completion of EKG exam upon arrival. Description: Currently seeking to hire one Acute Care Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment. Nurses will work 4x12-hour night shifts per week. This opportunity offers a dynamic clinical environment ideal for experienced RNs seeking a short-term role in acute care. Patient age group consists of adults. Staffing ratios are 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends. Weekend coverage is expected as needed, typically 2 times per scheduling period. Roles include working in an acute inpatient setting that involves telemetry, including transplant, oncology, surgical services, and acute rehabilitation. Special equipment utilized includes Alaris Pumps, Kangaroo Pumps, Stryker beds, Posey Alarms, and Glucometers. Support services available include interpretation services, IV teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, and transportation. This role requires the ability to manage cardiac drips without titration. Candidates must have prior experience and cannot be first-time travelers unless they have more than 2 years of experience.
