Part-Time Physical Therapist School-Based Setting Location: New Windsor, New York Schedule: 2 Days per Week | Flexible Scheduling | 20252026 School Year A reputable school-based therapy position is available for a licensed Physical Therapist to work part-time throughout the 20252026 academic year. This role involves serving school-aged children in an educational environment, supporting their physical development and functional independence. Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy services aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and New York State Education Department (NYSED) guidelines Assess, evaluate, and design treatment plans targeting mobility, strength, and overall function Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to enhance student progress Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, offering expert recommendations Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes consistent with district and DOE requirements Facilitate generalization of motor skills across academic and social settings Qualifications: Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State or eligible to obtain licensure Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred Knowledge of CSE protocols and NYSED/DOE regulations preferred Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal communication Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly pay starting at $55, commensurate with experience Opportunity for flexible scheduling Supportive environment with clinical mentorship from licensed professionals Full-time employees are eligible for medical, vision, dental insurance, and 401K benefits with company match License reimbursement available This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact on student development within a school environment.
