Key Responsibilities: Assist the surgeon in a lead role throughout operative procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes Perform circulating duties as needed to support surgical teams and maintain a sterile environment Collaborate closely with the Nurse Manager, Operating Room, adhering to established policies and procedures Maintain thorough documentation and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Respond promptly during on-call periods to provide skilled nursing care Qualifications: Current RN licensure in Massachusetts Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Completion of an RN First Assisting course aligned with AORN Core Curriculum Valid ACLS certification Minimum of five years experience in peri-operative nursing with proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating roles Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross Schedule & Call Details: Four 10-hour shifts per week On-call duty two evenings per week (5 PM to 7 PM or after shift end) Weekend on-call rotation every three weekends (24 hours on Saturday and Sunday) Location Spotlight: Northampton, MA is a vibrant community known for its cultural richness, charming downtown, and access to outdoor activities.
