The Certified Nurse midwife will provide primary health care through assessment, diagnosis, clinical judgment and management abilities to restore, maintain and improve the health status of patients. The CNM will provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, neonatal care. In addition to providing maternity care, nurse-midwives provide women with gynecological exams, prescription writing, assistance with family planning decisions, preconception care, screening mammography, menopausal management, and counseling in health maintenance and disease prevention
The Certified Nurse Midwife will collaborate with physicians and supported by a staff of registered nurses and other professionals who are specially trained in women’s health who are specially trained to provide normal maternity, newborn and well-woman gynecological care.
