Job Description Job Description MGM The Law Firm is currently
hiring experienced California Litigation Paralegals to join our
Toxic Tort practice group, supporting our California-based legal
teams. This position requires the ability to work Pacific Time Zone
business hours (9:00 am to 5:00 pm). Candidates located near one of
our firm's offices may have the opportunity to work on a hybrid
basis. Experience handling California cases is a plus, though not
required. MGM is a nationally renowned litigation law firm
concentrating on complex civil matters. The firm's expertise is
diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product
liability, local government, general liability, and commercial
litigation. We approach litigation as a unified team, integrating
our efforts with those of our clients to advance their interests
wherever they do business. Our goal is always to deliver optimal
results at the best possible value. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Manage multiple complex litigation matters
simultaneously. Monitor case filings and provide detailed
assessments to attorneys. Draft and prepare initial drafts of
various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other
pleadings. Review and evaluate discovery documents including
medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other
case material. Compose case assessments and evaluations for review
by associates and partners. Contemporaneous accounting and
submission of personal billable time. Candidate Requirements: 5
years’ experience in Toxic Tort Defense litigation is required.
Bachelor’s Degree. Experience handling California cases is a plus,
but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook,
PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, and/or File & Serve Xpress.
Attendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work and meetings
on time; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
with the ability to interface effectively with attorneys, other
paralegals, and legal administrative assistants. Organization:
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and
meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Customer service: Respond
promptly to attorney and client requests for service and
assistance; meet commitments. Dependability: Follow instructions,
complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours
necessary to meet deadlines. Teamwork: Contribute to building a
positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.

environment. Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated and capable of independent work. Excellent verbal
and written communication skills. Professional in interactions with

understanding of and adherence to firm policies and procedures.
Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
