Anchor Behavioral Solutions LLCCommunity Support Professional (In-Home)Job-Type: Fee for Service/Part-TimeLocation: Various Counties Within NJDescriptionAnchor Behavioral Solutions is looking for potential Community Support Professionals that have the ability to work with individuals with I/DD that exhibit aggressive behaviorsAssist individuals with intellectual disabilities in their community. Services to these individuals may occur in their own homes or in their natural family homes. Support of these individuals will include a variety of tasks and activities. Creative problem solving and interpersonal skills are essential elements to this position. Support Staff will attend the necessary meetings related to their support activities and obtain required training to complete their daily responsibilities.Minimum Qualifications: Experience working with people with disabilities is not required, but recommended. Most important attributes include reliability, patience, and the desire to work with people with special needs. Bachelor's degree in a related human services field including special education, psychology, social work, or applied behavior analysis a plus. A well-qualified candidate will demonstrate Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in these areas:1. Ability to teach basic daily living skills.2. Ability to provide personal care.3. Knowledge of basic family dynamics.4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, their families, case managers, and the general public.5. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting laws, rules, and policies within the Department of Developmental Disabilities6. Ability to express ideas succinctly, both orally and in writing.7. Commitment to be sensitive to the family atmosphere and ability to communicate clearly with the family and the individual.8. Commitment to individual rights and individuality of the person being served.9. Ability to work independently10. Knowledge of professional boundaries within the home environment11. Timeliness of paperwork and basic understanding of documentationTraining and other Requirements1. Maintain CPI, CPR, HWC and First Aid2. Pass a criminal history review and background check with clean driving record3. Successfully complete agency trainings4. Attend workshops to further professional growth5.
