Job Description IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ Position can be Part-Time or Full-Time. Project Description: Alpha Consulting Corp, a 27-year-old Staffing Firm, providing IT. Clinical, and Scientific staffing solutions to Fortune 5000 companies, is searching for an in house IT Support Specialist Level 1 to assist our company. Our office is located in East Brunswick, NJ, however, the job will predominately be remote (work from home) until the office is fully open. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone new to the IT field looking to prove their knowledge and skills. Be able to work remotely until the office is fully open. Respond in a timely matter to email requests, phone calls, MS Teams chat or calls. Onboarding new employees to the correct Systems and groups / Offboard employees, and remove from all System access. Keep track of Incidents, requests, and problems and follow up till they are completed. Provide guidance and assistance to new employees. Support windows 10 laptops and desktops, local printers, and network devices. Rollout Windows 11 Coordinate and schedule time to troubleshoot IT issues with end users. Maintain and contribute to our IT Knowledge base documents by writing up troubleshooting guides, checklists, and other documentation. Provide outstanding customer service. Be able to participate in special projects. Required Skills: Must be able to multi-task and prioritize with little guidance. Pay attention to detail and accuracy, great team player but works well independently. Must be able to pay strong attention to process and process improvement. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with excellent note taking skills. Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment. Understanding basic security practices. Very well versed in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Technically Savvy Be able to follow basic troubleshooting procedures such as: Contacting the user by gathering details about the case. Quickly identify the root issue. Be able to find the solution in our IT knowledge base or relevant info on the internet. Know when to escalate an issue to Level 2 Support to vendor's helpdesk support. Desired Experience: Prior experience working for a Staffing Firm is a plus but not required. Knowledge of JobDiva or other Applicant tracking System is a huge plus but not required. IT education with an associate degree or higher. Prior IT work experience.
