Position Overview

company's success. As an Underwriter within PNC's Real Estate
Banking organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Consideration will also be given to experienced Commercial Real
Estate Underwriters in other PNC markets as well.
Qualified applicants should have experience underwriting commercial
real estate deals.
This requisition covers a number of open positions within the Real
Estate Banking segment. The position level may be adjusted based on
experience level.
Day-to-day activities may vary by team and include Production
Underwriting, Portfolio Management, or REIT and Institutional
Investment Fund underwriting.
In and out-of-office flexibility will be available. Experienced
Commercial Real Estate Underwriters seeking remote work will be
considered.

ability to reach an agreement on and close transactions for real
properties.

Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college
degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable
combination of education and experience (including military
service) may be considered.

Compensation:
Base Salary: $66,000 - 192,000
Where a person is paid in the compensation range is aligned to
their experience and skills.
Placement within the compensation range is based on the specific
role and the following factors:
Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the job
Within the range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in
the role
Compensation Range may vary based on Geographic Location.

with little or no oversight. Exercises some exception and elevated
approval authority. Prepares loan offerings for all types of
transactions at any level of complexity or in management of a

Provides recommendations for credit structuring. Serves as subject
matter expert for certain asset classes. Using independent judgment
to identify risks and mitigants, prepares offerings and/or
scorecards, such as risk ratings, by analyzing credit, collateral
strength and financial worthiness of loan/transaction parties. If
relevant, performs ongoing credit risk management for assigned
portfolio. May coach and/or review the work of other underwriters
and fill in for manager as required. Contacts internal/external
customers and other parties as appropriate to gather information
and to clarify inconsistent, incorrect or missing information. May
perform relevant pre-approval and post-approval activities.
Identifies and/or confirms all external regulatory requirements.
Ensures internal policies/procedures are followed. Makes
recommendations on credit decisions or makes credit decisions
