Job Description Senior Flavorist - Cranbury, NJMAIN FUNCTION: A Senior Flavorist responsible for driving sales through the original creation of innovative winning flavors in the Beverage category with strong focus on Citrus. Close collaboration with Global Citrus team to drive and grow Citrus excellence.KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:Flavor Creation Skills :
> 10 years of experience in flavor creation with a proven track record of expertise and sales in the Citrus categoryFull working knowledge of all flavor raw materials, flavor chemistry, flavor creation & composition with good knowledge of manufacturing processes and delivery technologiesLeadership - The position requires excellence in leadership
and project management skillsCommunication - The position requires well developed communication skills , able to communicate at all levels and good presentation skillsGlobal Experience - able to demonstrate knowledge of and appreciate different culturesDESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:Development of creative and innovative winning flavors from scratch with a strong focus on citrusLead NA Citrus Flavor projects - Manage creative projects and collaborate and drive outstanding performance in the category.Create using multiple flavor delivery systems and flavor creation suitable for clean and clear labelling including systems for beverage including emulsion, encapsulation and spray drying within local regulatory guidelines.Work in close collaboration with food scientists and ingredient & technology experts to develop total beverage citrus solutions.Develop a strong network of relationships ,with customers and vendors, across the industryDevelop and nurture partnerships with key suppliers & research institutesDevelop a robust portfolio of consumer preferred flavors for Citrus platform.Work closely with Purchasing to ensure best pricing and quality of materialsWork with the global flavorist community to ensure transfer of knowledge.Work with Marketing to promote the Citrus category and publicize ADM Citrus competency to the food industryWork with sales to identify opportunities for the Citrus categoryWork closely with sensory/consumer insights to develop highly preferred flavor solutions.Work with R & D to develop innovative raw materialsWork with Analytical to develop a robust database of citrus flavor & ingredients analysisKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Proven track record of success in the F & F Industry in the Citrus Category.A team player with passion and drive to win.Capable of creating flavors from Scratch.Science Degree or higher (chemistry /Food Science preferred) at a reputable educational establishmentAt least > 10 years flavorist experience in flavor creation abilityCertified with Society of Flavor ChemistFull working knowledge of all flavor raw materials, flavor chemistry, flavor creation & compositionGood knowledge of manufacturing processes and delivery technologiesHighly developed project management skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PPT, WORD etc.)Relocation assistance is availableThis position offers a complete benefit package, including 401K/ESOP, pension, health, life and dental insurance.
