The Counselor will provide individual, family and group therapy for adolescents with a full range of DSM diagnoses in an educational setting, connected to an outpatient mental health clinic. -We offer a generous benefits package including the following:

  • The Counselor will provide individual and group therapy to children/ adolescents with full range of DSM diagnoses in a school-based setting. Direct service will be provided both in person and via telehealth
  • Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health in an electronic medical record, including progress notes, comprehensive assessments and Individual Actions Plans.
  • Provide collateral contacts with all relevant referral sources, including family members.
  • The Counselor will coordinate and linkage to community resources and for discharge planning.
  • Attend routine supervision/team meetings. -
  • The Counselor will understand and demonstrate a commitment to Performance Quality Insurance (PQI) and accreditation with the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services (COA).
  • Provide additional support/services to the clinic as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in relevant human services field required.LMSW, LMHC, LCSW or related licensed clinical degree or limited permit required.At least one year of experience working in a behavioral health setting required. Experience providing school-based mental health counseling is strongly preferred. -Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records required.Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills required.Must possess the ability to multitask, problem solve, make clear decisions, and work individually and as part of a team.Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required. - -PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS -Sitting for long periods of time. -Compensation details: 60000-65000 Yearly SalaryPI59ce25822cb2-37820-37297356
