National insurer seeks an experienced Underwriter with a record of a profitable book of business to assess risks to meet targeted loss ratio expectations. Candidate will produce Non-Healthcare Professional Liability insurance for Private Businesses; Small & Medium Enterprises; Manufacturing; Owner & Partner Risks; Business Managers; as well as architects, accountants, lawyers, financial advisors, and similar.

The Job:

*** Determine eligibility and develop coverage and premium proposals.

*** Establish coverage terms and premiums.

*** Maintain renewals and attract new business.

*** Develop and maintain broker, agent, and customer relationships.

*** Produce reports on adverse underwriting decisions, rate appeals, underwriting requirements, status & declinations, and similar.

Requirements:

*** 2+ years of E & O, Professional Liability, or similar Underwriting experience.

*** Associate in Management (AIM), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Insurance Counselor (CIC), or similar certifications.
