Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and collaborative
Senior Scientist to join our Pre-clinical Histology Core within the
Imaging Sciences department. In this role, you will partner with
research scientists to understand their scientific questions and
drive histology experiments to address them, ensuring scientific
rigor in design, results, and communication. You will work within a
team of histologists to guide and perform antibody validation, IHC,
and IHC/ISH multiplexes using automated equipment and LIMS and
deliver high quality, meticulous, and unbiased experimental data,
interpretations, and novel methods in support of Regenerons diverse
therapeutic programs. In this role, a typical day may include:
Engaging with therapeutic areas and biotechnologies to understand
their program and scientific questions and to provide support for
their histology needs Reviewing data to ensure scientific rigor and
confirm that it addresses the scientific questions Selecting,
screening, and validating of antibodies and ISH probes
Independently designing and developing histology-based assays
including IHC, IF, ISH, IF multiplex panels using stainers like
Ventana Discovery Ultra or Leica Bond Utilizing histological
techniques, including grossing, fixation, decalcification, and
paraffin embedding Creating expert-level written reports and
delivering verbal communications to peers, management, and larger
groups Collaborating closely with team members to coordinate and
troubleshoot multiple experiments, accommodate changing priorities
and timelines, and provide updates on project progress This role
may be for you if you: Shown history of designing, executing, and
reporting histology studies in a timely and independent manner.
Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work
independently and collaboratively within a team-first environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, and due diligence in project
execution Have a passion for biology and a commitment to helping
others, along with a dedication to sharing, collaborating, and
uplifting others In order to be considered for this role, you must
have at least a Ph.D. in a scientific field and 0 -2 years of
relevant histology or microscopy experience or a BS/MS degree and
8-10 years of relevant experience. Must have solid knowledge in
basic mouse anatomy, especially muscles, bones, heart, and kidney.
Extensive expertise with antibody validation, robotic staining
(Leica Bond, Ventana) and IF multiplex panels is strongly
preferred. Experience with pathology assessments and multiplexing
is a plus. Must be able to work collaboratively and be flexible

- $176,700.00
