Job Description:
Join Barclays as a Loan Operations AVP, where you will be
responsible for managing a team of admins responsible for a
portfolio of syndicated lending transactions and performing all the
servicing activities required. The role will be responsible for
managing the processing of all incoming work and overseeing
subordinate staff members in an accurate and timely manner.The role
will be responsible for verifying the work of others in ACBS/LIQ,
investigating and resolving complex cash breaks and escalating to
management where appropriate. The role will be responsible for
training and helping develop staff based on subject matter
expertise. The role will entail partnering with management to
identify/recommend and develop processes and procedures and
continuous improvement. To be successful as a Loan Operations AVP,
you should have: Knowledge and experience working on a syndicated
loan operations team. Working knowledge of lending systems and
interpreting Credit Agreements. Individuals at this level are
expected to work independently and have the ability to handle and
guide their team on complex situations. Some other highly valued
skills may include: ACBS and/or LIQ experience. Previous management
experience on a loan operations team. Ability to communicate with
stakeholders inside and outside of Loans to resolve issues. Client
servicing skills and ability to communicate effectively with CFOs,
treasury managers, controllers, etc. especially on the back of an
escalation. You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant
for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and
transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and
technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role is
located in Whippany, NJ. Purpose of the role To support Wholesale
Lending with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading
and issue resolution. Accountabilities Support with day-to-day
Wholesale Lending initiatives including processing, reviewing,
reporting, trading and issue resolution through lending technical
expertise. Monitoring the bank’s lending operations to ensure that
they are conducted in an efficient and effective manner and comply
with relevant regulatory requirements. Collaboration with teams
across the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Lending processes.
Identification of areas for improvement and providing
recommendations for change in Wholesale Lending processes.
Development and implementation of Wholesale Lending procedures and
controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
Development of reports and presentations on Wholesale Lending
performance and communicate findings to internal senior
stakeholders. Identification of industry trends and developments to
implement best practice in Wholesale Lending Services.
Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Wholesale
Lending efficiency and effectiveness. Assistant Vice President
