Manager US & Canada Exton, PA Takeda Business Services (TBS) is a
newly formed function within Takeda with the objective of enabling
Takeda’s business strategy, delivering simplification and cost
reduction, improving service and providing a transformation engine
for continuous improvement for Takeda. ‘Continuously innovating and

delivering value for Takeda. The Payroll Operations Manager will be
responsible for managing all aspects of payroll operations,
ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant
regulations. This individual will lead a team of payroll
professionals, develop and implement payroll policies and
procedures, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to
streamline processes and drive continuous improvement.
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE Key objectives include: Payroll Operations Lead
has primary responsibility for all aspects of payroll operations
processing, including ADP payroll BAU process deployment to ensure
consistent focus and involvement in driving efficiencies and
process improvements. Directs the actions of the payroll operations
team members and is responsible for all tasks necessary to
accomplish company objectives: Shares knowledge and information
through regular communications and facilitation within the Takeda
Payroll Team Position requires minimal direction on strategic
payroll issues ACCOUNTABILITIES Ensures accurate and timely payroll
processing for all Takeda employees, based on salary / payment
information provided, for the US, PR and Canadian payrolls, for
multiple legal entities. Monitors payroll Equity transactions,
Domestic and International relocation reporting, and assignee
mobility payments and reporting to ensure accurate payment and
recording for expat and inpat population. Manages operations and
service delivery to ensure the most effective services are being
provided Maintains internal controls relating to payroll practices
and records and monitor these on a continuing basis Develop,
implement and update payroll procedures necessary to comply with
Takeda corporate policies and governmental agency regulations
Conceives and implements process enhancements to increase
efficiency and satisfaction with payroll services Coordinates with
other departments within the People Solutions team - including
Compensation & Benefits, Equity, Mobility, Employee Life Cycle
Management and People Resources Hub, working with all HR functions
to ensure delivery of quality services and resolve operational
problems Participates in cross-departmental and corporate groups
designed to implement or improve payroll programs and services.
Manages current resources to identify and develop solutions to
complex payroll related issues Lead and manage the payroll
operations department, including hiring, training, and perfomance
management of payroll staff Stay informed about changes in payroll
laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and ensure
compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws Manage
relationships with payroll service providers and other external
partners Monitor payroll processes and systems for efficiency and
effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement
solutions to streamline operations Prepare and analyze payroll
reports, metrics, and KPIs to monitor performance and identify
trends Handle special payroll projects and initiatives as assigned.

all levels of Business DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS Technical/Functional
(Line) Expertise Extensive US payroll experience processing
multi-state payrolls with knowledge of US, PR and Canadian payroll
rules and regulations. 10 years of experience in full-cycle payroll
processing required, with in depth knowledge and application of
payroll principles, concepts and industry practices and standards.
Experience working with ADP payroll systems, Workday HCM and UKG
Dimension Time-keeping systems preferred. Excellent written &
verbal communication and organizational skills; can deliver
appropriate details to the audience. Leadership Excellent
leadership skills: proven ability to collaborate with others and
drive results in a team and project focused environment.
Decision-making and Autonomy Established ability to solve problems
while incorporating best practices, metrics and sustainable
processes. A clear, fast thinker and problem solver able to

Experience working with ADP payroll systems, Workday HCM and UKG

appropriate details to the audience. EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
required; 7 years of experience in payroll in a supervisory or
manager role. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred, but
not required Skills in process analysis, assessment and improvement
as well as creating a team environment where continuous improvement

practices. For Location: Exton, PA U.S. Base Salary Range:
$111,800.00 - $175,670.00 The estimated salary range reflects an
anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered
may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of
the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant
experience, specific and unique skills, level of education
attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and
the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they
will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be
in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the
job location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term
and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to
participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and
company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic
