Job Description:
As a Sr Embedded Software Developer II at B. Braun Medical Inc.,
you will be instrumental in advancing our mission to enhance
patient and clinician safety through the development of innovative
software solutions for medical devices. In this role, you are
expected to lead the design, development, and validation of
embedded software systems that interact with cutting-edge medical
device technology. You will work closely with cross-functional
teams to ensure that our software meets the rigorous standards
required in the healthcare industry, while aligning with our
commitment to eliminate preventable treatment errors. Design,
develop, and maintain embedded software for medical devices.
Collaborate with hardware engineers and other stakeholders to
define software requirements. Implement and verify software
solutions that meet functional safety standards. Maintain
documentation per medical device regulatory standards (e.g., FDA,
ISO 13485). Lead peer reviews and maintain high standards in
software development practices. Debug and resolve hardware-software
integration issues. Support the certification and approval process
of medical devices. Expertise in embedded C/C++ programming.
Familiarity with RTOS and microcontroller architectures. Experience
with software development life cycle (SDLC) in a regulated
environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Medical Insurance
401k Certification in embedded systems development (e.g., CSDA,
CSDP). Knowledge of medical device standards such as IEC 62304 is
highly preferred.
